The Process

At USA Aircraft we start by removing all control surfaces and remove all old paint. We then hand clean with lacquer thinner to remove any remaining paint during the initial stripping process. We then inspect for any defects, including metal, rivets and corrosion. Our team will then repair any defects and remove any corrosion with a nylon corrosion wheel and sand all surfaces, at this point all fiberglass and dents will be fixed, followed by washing and etched and anodized for corrosion protection. Next, we apply three coats of epoxy primer to all surfaces, then three coats of the base color of polyurethane paint. We also provide in our base quote two additional stripe colors of your choice. All flight controls are balanced and reattached to the aircraft. All windows are resealed and a touch-up kit is provided at no additional cost. Our interior shop will completely remove all old interior; rebuild all foam components and install the new customer selected leather, fabric or combination of, using the stitching pattern requested by customer. All interior is compliant with FAR 25.853 when completed.
